Homemade Ciabatta

I’ve always been afraid to bake until my gran shared this recipe with me and I can’t find enough reasons why not to whip up these loafs and enjoy with butter.


  • 4 cups of flour
  • 5ml salt
  • 5ml sugar
  • 10g yeast
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 2 cups and a bit of water


  1. Mix all ingredients together.
  2. Place dough in an oiled bowl and cover with cling wrap. Allow to rest for an hour.
  3. Cut dough in half and place on a floured baking tray.
  4. Set oven to 220 C and bake for 30-40min.
